As an avid golfer, I got really excited when we were able to work with Blackmoor Golf Course, a stunning heathland Par 69 course in Hampshire. The brief was to create a hero video celebrating the course with accompanying social videos highlighting some of what Blackmoor Golf Club has to offer.
Equipped with a drone, camera and golf kart, we spent the morning following members teeing off and playing a round of golf. In typical British fashion, the weather didn’t agree with us and we took shelter within the club house. We wanted to show Blackmoor in its greatest light so focused on the other parts of the club including the pro shop, restaurant, bar and driving range, aiming to film the hero shots at sunset.
One thing we kept in mind whilst filming was the way in which the edit was going to be done, quick, engaging and easily digested social pieces which had to grab the viewers attention at first watch. Using this knowledge, we spent a lot of time on the sunset drone footage, making sure it looked cinematic and something that viewers wouldn’t skip.
The end product was 7 videos which can be shared over all social platforms and a lot of left over footage which can be edited and repurposed dependent on Blackmoor’s social plan this coming year. We’re really proud of the videos especially when environmental circumstances make us deviate from the project plan. As well as a new client, we also found a new golf course!
"After a comprehensive tender, we appointed Millstream Productions to create a series of videos to showcase the wonderful course and facilities at Blackmoor Golf Club. We found the team extremely helpful and professional throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, who took the time to understand our brief, manage the filming process and support the editing of the videos to ensure that all our requirements were met. We’re delighted with the results and look forward to being able to work with the team at Millstream again soon".
