Are you aged between 16-25 with qualifications gained up to school or college level? Are you looking for a role in the arts industry?
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Artswork to offer a young person a 6 month placement at Millstream Productions as a Studio Assistant.
Artswork is a charity that strives to make the arts available to absolutely everyone. Their aim is to break through barriers and develop new ways for people to discover the success, empowerment and sheer joy that the arts and creativity can bring to classrooms, communities and careers.
The Breakthrough programme is open to any young person between the ages of 16–25, with qualifications gained up to school or college level. This is aimed at young people who have found securing a meaningful job in the arts a challenge. (It is not suitable for those with qualifications at level 5 or above).
The role
We’re one of south coast's leading and most established video production companies and we help organisations connect with their audience through powerful and compelling video.
From corporate videos to social media videos, documentary, drone, animation and photography, we have a full-service offering which means we support our clients with everything from strategy and planning, to filming, editing and producing branded films.
The role is for Studio Assistant and the responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assisting the production team on planning and filming projects.
- Working with the post-production team by assisting them on video edits.
- Working alongside our Project Co-ordinator with various administration tasks.

Future prospects
During the course of the placement, you will meet and network with other creative organisations which might present future opportunities. Artswork will also provide a workplace mentor who can offer career advice and guidance, helping you to develop your CV and offer support with job applications and interviews.
Start date: Monday 23rd September
Hours per week: 25
Working week: 9am - 2.30pm, with 30 mins break (unpaid), 5 days a week
Hourly wage: £11.44
